Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) is a remediation technology used to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the soil by applying a vacuum to extract contaminated soil vapors. The extracted vapors are then treated or disposed of. SVE is effective for addressing soil contamination in the vadose zone (unsaturated zone) and helps to reduce the concentration of VOCs, improving soil quality and reducing health risks.
