A Thermal Desorption Unit (TDU) is a specialized equipment used to heat contaminated soil or sludge, causing pollutants to vaporize. The vaporized contaminants are then collected and treated. TDUs are effective for removing organic contaminants from soil and are often used in conjunction with other treatment methods.
